NODE-FIND 2.91 IS A SHAREWARE PRODUCT AND
YOU MUST REGISTER IF YOU USE IT.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT FOR HIGH QUALITY
LOW COST SOFTWARES.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
-------------------
Node-Find is a DOOR that let your users search Node
information by entering a search string. Users can search a
Name, a Location, a Phone number, a Baud rate or a Node number.
Node-Find uses the QNL_DAT.BBS (compiled QuickBBS format)
file for its database. A QLN_DAT.BBS Node list file can be
produced with QuickBBS Node list compilers.
Unlike other similar doors, Node-Find is very fast and
reliable. It uses a powerfull algorythm to search information
across the Node list file and has no maximum file size.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
---------------------
- Uses a special ZOOM (tm) for detailed
information.
- Hangs up after 3 minutes of inactivity.
- Warns the user 30 sec. before the inactivity.
- Supports ANSI colors/control sequence.
- Uses Revision 5 FOSSIL DRIVER (X00, BNU, etc.).
- Checks for the user's daily timelimit.
- Has powerfulls hot keys like QuickBBS.
- Has a constant status bar.
CONFIGURATION:
-------------
You need to create a simple ASCII configuration file. The
default name used by Node-Find is: NodeFind.CFG
The contents of the configuration file is as follows:
C: QBBS <-- PATH for QNL_DAT.BBS
1 <-- Read the DORINFO1.DEF
You don't need to add the trailing backslash at the end of the
directory you have specified in the configuration file.
INSTALLATION:
------------
To install Node-Find, just add a menu entry (Type 7 or 17) and,
in the OPTIONAL DATA field, write:
NodeFind.COM <Name of configuration file used>
Please remember that if no configuration file is given,
NodeFind.CFG is used by default.
If you want to try NodeFind in Local mode, just start the BBS
in LOCAL mode or make a LOCAL.DEF file. The contents of a
LOCAL.DEF file can be the follows:
BAB-O-MANIE <-- Name of your system
ANDRE <-- Sysop FirstName
MORIN <-- Sysop LastName
COM0 <-- Port used (0 for LOCAL)
9600 BAUD,N,8,1 <-- Baud Rate
1 <-- Environnement used (Not important)
MARTIN <-- User FirstName
BOUCHARD <-- User LastName
QUEBEC CITY, QC <-- City, State
1 <-- Graphics 1 = Yes, 0 = No
50 <-- User Security Level
29 <-- Time Remaining
